Talking To Strangers

I'm not a fan of meeting new people but for this assignment I had no choice. To be honest I'm not a people person at all but it is what it is. While on the elevator (in GBVS) in talked to someone who lives down the hall from me. While it was very uncomfortable I did it anyway. Although I was uncomfortable the conversation wasn't all that bad because the elevator ride wasn't very long and providing the fact that we talked about schol and things of that nature (things we both could relate to) it wasn't to bad. Chelsea was a overall cool person. She was cool enough to the point that we are noe friends on facebook. Not something I'll be doing on the regular.

Second Life

My experience on Second was ok for the most part. To start off Iwasn't to happy about doing it but once I got started I realized it was easier than I expected it to be. When I first got started creating my username was harder than I expected it to be. I thought that Iwould be able to create any name that I wanted but quickly found out that wasn't the case (unless I just didn't know to do it). The usernam I finally ended with wasn't that bad so I didn't care in the end. One thing that I found interesting (once my avatar was created) was that they had the ability to fly. Not knowing what to expect when I started that aspect of it made if pretty fun. I liked the fact that we had the ability to change our avatar's clothing although I never did. This was very interesting because you never knew what other people would like or have on. In some people's cases you never what they wouldn't have on. I also liked the Penn State's Campus and they way it was constructed. Being able to talk through head sets was pretty nice because it saved you from having to type everything. I'm saying this as if I had one when I didn't but that's cool. It just seemed pretty easy and convenient for those who did. Speaking of typing watching my avatar type while I was typying to me wasn't cool at all I thought I looked pretty dumb but whatever. Other than that Second Life was just something else that I never knew was out there that I am now aware of. It was ok though

This an article on a new wireless reading device. The new device is called the Kindle DX. Using this device you can download books in 60 seconds or less. It is no thicker than a magazine and is about the same height as well. I think that it is a pretty neat device but since I'm not a reader it's not something that I would buy. For those who do like reading this device is very useful and can keep you occupied when o the road or when you just want something to read.

So to all who don't know I am a sports fanatic. One player that I love when it comes to sports is Kobe Bryant which (for now) makes me a Lakers fan. Sunday afternoon the Lakers took on the Boston Celtics in Boston. This is the oldest and most fierce rivalry in the NBA. The NBA has crowned 63 Champions throughout its history and the Lakers and Celtics have combined for 32 of those championships. Sunday afternoon when they renewed their rivalry it was my boy Kobe who hit the game winner with 7.3 seconds on the clock to give the Lakers the one point victory over the Celtics
